I have tried to get tickets for the Eagles show in Melbourne but both the shows are sold out. I also heard that a third show is being planned. When is it and how can I buy tickets for that? I require 4 . Any chance of them coming to Adelaide?

I was fortunate enough to win tickets on a radio station to Eagles Farewell Tour on November 14, 2004 at Rod Laver Arena. My excitement soon turned to despair when I enquired about needing a wheelchair spot and to be as close to stage as possible due being legally blind. I was told by R. L. Arena staff that all wheelchair spots sold out and are at back of arena anyway, I was also told they wouldn’t be able to help me due to tickets being complimentary so I would need to discuss this with radio station. I have not been offered any recourse only an apology, I don't believe it's fair that in this day and age promoters assume only fully able people will apply, as for the venue, the designers could do with a lesson on “disability” some people in wheelchairs also have other disabilities.

I'm flying over from New Zealand, and have searched the website to trace when the next Eagle concert would be playing in Melbourne. I've read that they maybe possibly organising a 3rd concert, what are my chances, seeing that I'm a Eagles fan and want to celebrate moving over to Melbourne as well as being their @ the Eagles concert ... "LIVE CONCERT" WOW!! and HOW?

I just got home from the first of the Melbourne gigs (it's now 1.15 in the morning) and it was awesome. I was a real treat to hear the two new songs. Both were excellent but I thought Joe's lead on One Day at a Time was a real highlight of the whole show (he introducd the song with 'I only got drunk once and it lasted for 20 years'). Glenn was having a ball the whole concert. He was dancing around for the fans during the encore of All She Wants to Do is Dance and having the binoculars on him a lot throughout the night he was singing heart out. It wasn't just the thrill of two news songs it was the passion that the four of them showed that really made the place rock. If those two songs are a taste of what's to come from a new studio release then we can all be very excited about it (by 2008 would be good guys!!). The crowd really got into the night (Glenn started the night by telling the crowd they were being flimed so to be enthusiastic and loud!). You Belong to the City got a huge cheer. I thought it was a real highlight of the show, surprising for me as it isnt a song I really rate. Don looked pale and really let Glenn and Joe run the night. Wasted Time was superb but the other Henley leads weren't in the same league as Joe's and Glenn's for energy. I first heard the Eagles on the radio in 1977 when I was 10 and I loved them right from the start. To finally see them live was a dream come true. The filming was very comprehensive and I reckon the DVD will just rock! Melbourne fans did all Eagles fans worldwide proud.A truly memorable night that will be seen by Eagles fans around the world (in their lounge rooms) at some stage in 2005. Also special mention to Scott Crago - I thought he added a heap of skill and positive energy to the band.

The first Eagles show was amazing!! They sound just as great live in 2004 as they do on all of their original albums from the 70s. Wasted Time was fantastic and I was absolutely ecstatic when Don Henley played All She Wants To Is Dance.

I found the crowd enjoyed it, but I was disappointed that no one was standing up on the floor of the arena until the encore when the band began to play Hotel California. Honestly, I thought the energy levels were a bit low, especially considering Melbourne was lucky enough to be chosen for the filming of the live DVD!

By the end though, everyone was getting into it and the classics like Hotel California and Desperado were more than well received.

Highlights included Joe Walsh's amazing guitar efforts in Funk 49. The saxophone in You Belong To The City was simply brilliant and the saxophonists seemed to be having a great time, dancing at the back of the stage! The harmonies in Hole in the World were magnificent, a really poignant song especially live. It just shows their voices are improving with age.

The whole band looked as though they were having a ball. They were really enjoying the music and seemed to be enthusiastic playing for their fans. Every song was sung with passion and the true brilliance of their lyrics shone through. One of the best rock concerts ever!

Oh Boy can these guys SING !!! I went to the November 15 show (Melbourne). Like Claire I was a bit disapointed in the audiences energy level. I wanted to get up a boooooogy but everyone seemed quite reserved, seated and really didn't start to jig and fire up until the show was almost over. I wonder if they had performed some rocking songs in the beginning whether that would of got us going a bit more. I just wanted to stand up on the chairs and dance the night away from the minute I got there lol!!

My favourite performances were Life In The Fast Lane, All She Wants to do is Dance, Heartache Tonight and Hotel California of course. The Boys of Summer is one of my favourite songs from when I was a kid so I really loved hearing that live.

Don Henley just rocks, I do wonder if he was unwell -- he didn't seem to take stage but maybe that's just the way he is on stage. I think he's wonderful.

I had the most awesome time. Money well spent and worth every single cent! They sound better now than they ever have. They just keep getting better and better with age.
