Supergroup rocks Events Center (Casper Star Tribune)

At 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, the Eagles landed at the Casper Events Center.

"I've been waiting and waiting for about 32 years to say 'Hello Wyoming,'" shouted guitarist/keyboardist/vocalist Glenn Frey between the supergroup's first song, "The Long Run" and the second "New Kid in Town."

And judging by the uproarious response to Frey's comment from the 8,000-person crowd, many in attendance had been waiting a long time to hear one of the Eagles say something along those lines.

Eagles concert bolsters business (Casper Star-Tribune)

Eagles fans from all over the country will be in Casper tomorrow night for the group's "Farewell I Tour" at the Casper Events Center, a concert likely to result in an infusion of cash for local tourism.

The Eagles -- winner of four Grammy Awards and inductees into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame -- features musicians Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh, and Timothy B. Schmidt.
