Las Vegas (Mary Fan Reivew)
First, let me apologize for lateness of review, the hotel I stayed at had NO NET ACCESS & I just got home yesterday---OK, here goes the review.......Vegas definitely is a great place to see any concert & especially the Eagles, just fantastic. I had been to the August concert in Vegas last August & just couldn't resist going again. This years concert was a bit shorter than last years cause the cut out "James Dean" for this show (one of my favorites so I was just a bit disappointed), but, other than that, the show was Fantastic as always. My seat was pretty good (tho not as good as last year when I sat in the 3rd row). This time around, I couldn't afford anything more that the $75 seats---HOWEVER, I managed to get one of the best seats in the "cheap seat section". I sat on Henley's side in the 1st row which actually wasn't that far from the stage so I didn't even need binoculars to get a great view. OK, enough about my "issues", on the stuff everyone really wants to know.
The guys looked great, as usual. Tim wore a blue shirt/black vest. Don had on the tan plaid shirt that he has been wearing for most of the shows. Glenn wore a blue & white stripped shirt for the 1st set & a blue plaid shirt for the second & Joe had on a t-shirt & camoflague pants & announced that he was running for president again this year cause "he felt he could do a MUCH better job than the guy in the White House right now"---this got a big round of applause. The set list was virtually the same as all of the previous shows of the tour EXCEPT they opened with "Long Run" & saved "Take It Easy" for the end. Don seemed to be at his grouchiest (love it when he makes that cool grumpy look whenever he pounds those drums real hard) and he really ranted lots & lots about Rubert Murdock just before singing "Dirty Laundry". Henley did seem to be a bit down during the whole concert which made me wonder what was bothering him ---but it sure didn't affect his voice any, he was as fantastic as always especially on "Wasted Time" & "Desperado". Well, thats about it except that I think Joe spoted my "I'm Pukin NOW!!" sign which made me happy-----I make sure to bring my sign whenever I go to a concert---actually its the second one I've made because I can't use my first one anymore cause it has Henley's autograph on it
from when I met him in DC. Still, I would LOVE TO GET THE REST OF THE GUYS AUTOGRAPHS ON THE SECOND SIGN ONE OF THESE OLD DAYS!!!! Till then, I'll just have to keep goin to more fantastic Eagles concerts till it happends. I recommend to anyone who hasn't seen the Eagles live yet---GO, YOU'LL SEE THE SHOW OF A LIFETIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
