It's all about the money.I am a music lover/Eagles fan not a journalist or musician. I saw the Eagles at Tokyo Dome in Tokyo last night. I paid about $50 over the $100 printed price for 20th row near center floor seats. It was worth it. It wasn't one of those magical concerts but it was a VERY GOOD concert! It is rare that you can see a greatest hits concert without any of the new stuff mixed in, but that is exactly what we got.

The songs were as follows:Long RunNew Kid In Town* Wasted TimePeaceful, Easy FeelingI Can't Tell You Why* One Of These NightsLyin' EyesBoys Of SummerAlready Gone

-break-

Tequila SunriseLove Will Keep Us AliveHole In The WorldTake It To The LimitYou Belong To The CityWalk AwaySunset GrillLife's Been Good* Dirty LaundryFunk #49Heartache TonightLife In The Fast Lane

Encore 1Hotel California

Encore 2** Rocky Mountain WayAll She Wants To Do Is Dance

Encore 3Take It EasyDesperado

* exceptionally good high energy performances** nice pot shot at President Bush which I bet wasn't noticed by any of the approximately 10,000 Japanese fans.

Where the line goes"... bases are loadedand Casey's at battime to change the batter..."Bush was substituted for Casey!(I couldn't agree more...)

These guys are doing this for the money. Just like me, I get up every day and go to work for the money. Also, like me, I think they enjoy their work. They worked their asses off for us last night and I appreciate it. Like one of the band members said, "...whatever price you paid for your ticket, it will be worth it..." He was right.

They started at 6:10 and finished at 9:00 with a fifteen break thrown in. As has been mentioned here in some of these blogs, Don and Glen's voices aren't what they used to be (not near as smooth as what is on the original recordings), but their energy and effort is right up there.Don really gave us top notch performances on "Wasted Time" and "Desperado". Joe, as has also been mentioned, was very entertaining and his guitar work was at times almost spine tingling.

If you, like me, have many memories tied to their songs that were playing on the radio in your youth, then, if possible, you should pay what ever price is reasonable for you and go see this concert.

Thanks for the review and setlist Rick. There was one omission on your setlist, though. Joe Walsh sang In the City towards the end of the first set, I believe right before Boys of Summer.

My friend and I had a great time at the show. We arrived at the Tokyo Dome box office at 3pm to buy tickets, expecting to sit in the nosebleed section. While we were waiting in line, a lady approached us asking if we would like to buy her arena seats. We were quite apprehensive, but eventually decided to buy her tickets. We ended up about 35 rows from the stage in the center and we paid face value. We were thrilled with our seats considering the circumstances and the Eagles were all in fine form. I would definitely recommend the show to any fans thinking about attending.

You're right Glen, between "Boys Of Summer" and "Already Gone" Joe did indeed sing "In The City". Thanks for the correction.Lucky about those seats eh.Rick
