Just got back. What a great show!! everything went awsome as soon as JD left the stage...man he's bad.some changes to the set list. One of These NightsEverything is different NowNew York MinuteHe then began to speak to the crowd. He made fun of people in the US for calling themselves americans while everyone on this side of the planet is american (ie North and South america). He talked about how he liked the autumn because of football and Halloween and hockey (too please the audience. He said hockey a couple of times to get the cheers and then said he should write a hockey song) He mentioned the canadian songwriters he likes, Neil young Joni Mitchell, Gordon Lightfoot and Leonard Cohen which went into the next song (he also told the Nixon election story here)Just a side note for JD- Don was smart enough to point out when he was doing a Canadian singers song. JD didn't seem to realize he was in the birthplace (area) of most of the members of The Band when he did a cover of Shape I'm In.Everybody KnowsThe End of the Innocence””Everybody Wants to Rule the World””The Last Worthless Evening” (told the Nicholson party story here but has added more Jack voice than previous tours)”It Don't Matter to the Sun””The Heart of the Matter””Dirty Laundry””The Boys of Summer””All She Wants To Do Is Dance””Life in the Fast Lane””Hotel California””Desperado””I Will Not Go Quietly””Please Come Home For Christmas”

The band was great and the new kid is real good. Henley's voice may not be able to hit all the high notes but he makes up for it with his whisper like voice.

Also with the added details in the Last worthless evening song my money is the blonde is Michelle Pfeiffer. totally matches the timeline of the lyrics (2 years after Maren for him and she had just split with her husband Peter Horton, when she filmed Witches of Eastwick with Jack...anybody else have thoughts?

I think you are right on the money, Martin, with your guess. :)

Martin, you may be correct. I did read somewhere that Henley and Jensen broke up in 1986. Michelle Pfeiffer and Peter Horton separated in 1988 ("It has been over two years now and I am still not quite myself"). She has two kids now. Henley said the actress is now married and had kids. Nicholson movies from 1986-1990 were: The Witches of Eastwick, Broadcast News, Ironweed, Batman, and The Two Jakes.Kim Bassinger was also single at the time. However, she only has one child. Henley said the actress is now married with kids (plural). Unless the actress in not “well known”, Pfeiffer fits the profile. Regardless, Henley does a great impersonation of Jack. He should continue telling his audiences this little joke-story.
